Lulu

Lulu Hi I am Lulu and I came to Da Rescue here back in January. I was dumped with 3 siblings. I have a non curable disease called DIM. Da Momma at da rescue didn't think I was gonna make the night as I had a 105.5 fever and it spiked to 107! She stayed up with me all night keeping me on cold packs and soaking me in tub to get my temp down. I was emaciated on top of all this and Da Momma got out her soupies and syringe fed me throughout the night along with starting me on some meds to help fight the fever. I made it through the night and to the wonderful doc lady the next day. I've had to endure a muscle biopsy and lots of Chemo treatments to kick this ugly disease into remission. With lots of love, sleepless nights, hard work, many trips to see the doc lady, I am now happy to report I am in remission as of today. I eat some kibble but I mostly still eat da soupies. My cage mate is now Willy as he is a soupie eater too. I love to play with the other hospice kids in da rescue here and I have been spotted doing some war dances, dooking and just being a silly little girl. (Shhh don't tell but I likes to chase da cat too and try to bite her butt hehe)

What I really like is hammocks and hidey beds to cuddle up in with my Willy. I also like Da Momma's sweaters to curl up in for my afternoon snooze. I am now learning what Stuffies (stuffed animals)are and how to alligator roll them (ya know to show em who's boss) and how to stash them in my favorite spots.

Tank ewe for taking da time to read mah story! All My Love ~ Lulu

Currently there are 16 rescues residing here.
6 of them are hospice and/or special needs
babies and will be living their lives out here.
We do our best to give them all the quality of
life they need as so deserve. I do all my own
nail trimming, ear cleaning and brushing teeth
in house as we can't afford paying for dentals
though a couple of them could really benefit
from it. Any assistance is much appreciated!
