Asher

Asher Hi, my name is Asher. I’m the oldest one here at the sanctuary. I came to the sanctuary a few years back after my original owner needed to get out of a bad situation. I was in another home for a short while, and then came to the sanctuary with my brother, Shadow. We were instantly greeted with so many fun faces. I was diagnosed with Insulinoma as soon as I arrived at the sanctuary and put on medication for it immediately. Those medicines definitely saved my life.
You can normally find me snuggled in my monkey hammock with my friend Marsh, in a sleep sack with a group of friends, or eating soupies. Food is one of the greatest things there is. I am always eating, but Mom says it’s a good thing because I have a hard time keeping my blood glucose levels where they’re supposed to be. She makes me extra special soupies that I get to eat in bed too! Soupies are definitely my most favorite thing….. and then snuggles…. And then sleeping. I really like Carnivore Care and Uncle Jim’s Duk Soup Mix. I accidentally ate Ferret Nupro out of the container in powder form once… that wasn’t my best idea. It’s much better mixed into a soupie. Learned that the hard way.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from me and all of my fuzzy friends! Thank you so much!

We are a self funded private rescue/sanctuary in New Hampshire. Our current residents come from all over New England. Some came to us sick and old, and others healthy in large groups. We make sure to never separate bonded groups who come in so no one looses who they love.
We go through supplies rapidly with the number of noodles in our care, and finances are always tight. Thank you so much for anything and everything, we couldn’t keep this going without the love and support we get during this time of year from the ferret community. There are about 20 ferrets here that this very well might be their last Christmas, so we make sure everyone gets to play with and enjoy the gifts that are received!

We are always in need of the following…
*FOOD! - Marshalls, Wysong Ferret Epigen 90 DS, Instinct Ultimate Protein Chicken or Duck, Dr. Elsey’s Clean Protein Chicken, Oxbow Ferret Food, Mazuri Ferret Food, Intune, Totally Ferret Active and Show
