Hi guys, I’m Raya! I came to the sanctuary a long time ago. My original human actually brought me into the U.S. from Europe, but they couldn’t take me back when they left, so my sanctuary Mumma found out about me and picked me up! My original humans also thought I was a boy! I’m a VERY feisty girl! My favorite thing to do is to dook around a cause all of the mischief! I love anything that crinkles, rattles, or makes noises when I play with it! I have my mischievous side, but I’m also a huge snuggle bug! Mumma calls me a pocket ferret because that’s where I like to hang out when we snuggle! Pockets are the best! Actually, anything that has little pocket areas that I can snuggle in with my friends are amazing too! I also love kibbles! I’m what they call a ‘kibble-surfer!’ I like to dig through the kibbles to find my favorite pieces. Then I really like making sure to dunk them into water before eating them. Mumma forgets sometimes that my favorite flavor is soupies, so I make them for her! She cleans my pool…. I mean water bowl all the time now that I’m making fresh soupies in it. Who does she think she is?! I’m working so hard to make fresh soup. I realize that Mumma puts soupies out at least twice a day, but I want to make my own!
Anyways, thank you for reading my story! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! Thank you so much! We are a self funded private rescue/sanctuary in New Hampshire. Our current residents come from all over New England. Some came to us sick and old, and others healthy in large groups. We make sure to never separate bonded groups who come in so no one looses who they love. We go through supplies rapidly with the number of noodles in our care, and finances are always tight. Thank you so much for anything and everything, we couldn’t keep this going without the love and support we get during this time of year from the ferret community. There are about 20 ferrets here that this very well might be their last Christmas, so we make sure everyone gets to play with and enjoy the gifts that are received!
