WhoWee-Louie came to Ferrets Unlimited In May of 2008. He was dumped at a pet store in a taped up shoebox and an employee contacted us. He had a large tumor on his back. It was so large it was causing him a great deal of pain. He underwent surgery to remove the tumor. WhoWee- Louie came out of the surgery with flying colors however since he probably never really played before he didn’t know how. He was just so happy to be able to walk! He was so afraid of other ferrets he would run and hide from them. WhoWee-Louie became sick and had to go to the vet. He was diagnosed with Insulinoma, A low blood sugar disease. He now needs prednisolon two times a day. He went his foster home. There he began to trust other ferrets again and now loves to sleep with all the other ferrets in the home! Still, all was not right with WhoWee-Louie. His spleen started to grow at an alarming rate. It was getting larger and larger and he needed surgery to remove it. A donation from a kind supporter covered the cost of his surgery.
WhoWee-Louie now lives happily with other ferrets. He may not have the activity level as the others, but he is very content with just watching others play.
Because of his daily medication and emotionally rough past, WhoWee-Louie will stay in his foster home for the remainder of his life. He has been through so much in his life already it would be emotionally damaging for him to be moved yet again. His foster family loves him dearly.
Ferrets Unlimited continues to provide him with the medical attention and medication he needs.
You can help Ferrets Unlimited help this sweet little boy by opening your heart to this ferret with a sad past.
WhoWee-Louie loves Evo Ferret food, Ferretone, and Soft fleece.
Due to his many Illnesses and rough past he doesn't always make it to his liter box and unfortunately his cage needs to be lined with puppy pee pads. These are greatly needed for him.
