Stewart was surrendered to us almost a year ago along with his mates Atone and Babygurl. His former owners threatened to dump him and his friends in the woods if we did not take them. When they arrived it was apparent that these kids needed special attention. They were skinny and shy. They were placed in foster care were they are spoiled rotten. Sadly Babygurl had passed away. Atone went adrenal and Stewart is insulinoma and receives pred twice a day. The conditions of these ferrets make them pretty hard to adopt out but their foster family adores them.
(Updates from their foster parents) Atone is recovering from surgery for Adrenal disease. He had the surgery on 10/2/2009. Atone is a very playful sable boy. Atone loves to play with his buddy Rascal (who is in line for an adoption soon) and Atone loves to play with people too. For Christmas Atone would like some Pounce cat treats. He comes running when someone opens the bag! Stewart is our 'house puppy' ferret. He has been granted full run of the house. He follows my wife and I around the house like a puppy. Stewart 'not so' Little takes Prednisolone twice a day. Believe me... he doesn't like the taste. Stewart would like a bottle of Ferretone to help cover the taste of the Pred. He doesn't mind taking his medicine when the taste is doctored up a little bit. Their wishlist includes... Pounce cat treats Ferretone Soft fleece Evo and Totally ferret food Gift cards to help the shelter and all their friends |
