Gustav

Gustav Hello there, my name is Gustav. I was brought to the shelter this year with my cagemate, Leaf. My owners knew I wasn’t feeling well and couldn’t afford the vet bills. I am 7 so they knew right away I would be a hospice ferret, but Leaf is only 3 and so full of life, so we had to part so she could find some playmates. It’s worked out because I’ve met other old men just like me here at the hospice house and they are really good at cuddling. Mom is always doting on me, she’s concerned all the time how much life I have left. But I’m still going.

For Christmas, I’d ask for some potty pads. The biggest size possible like for people, as I’m not so good with the box anymore so mom lines our room with pads and we go through a ton. If you can, maybe donate to our vet bill as we are all getting older and needing fixed up. If you could give mom a Chewy card to help get us soup ingredients, I’d love that too. Lastly, my final wish is that my friend Leaf finds some new playmates and a new family. She’s so lovely and is friends with everyone, she really deserves to have her forever home.

(Leaf is currently adoptable, story on Petfinder.com)
