Arty Arty came to us from another shelter who was overloaded and at that time I had some space. He is a real sweetheart and like Angel will kiss you until you make him stop. He is a really BIG boy (my biggest ferret)- even bigger than Marty (who I do have a pictured in his profile) and boy is he a character! He loves to show off and make you laugh. I will try to get a picture of him and get it uploaded.

Last year was our first time on the Ferretgivingtree because my husband was in the hospital for hantavirus. I am so thankful for the response we received and it helped us keep the shelter going. Here is my husband's news story: (updated for new link, previous link expired)

Mike still isn't able to work so we are still struggling along but determined to keep things going.

Most of our ferrets are in their senior years and several need the implant for adrenal disease not sure if that is something that can be arranged through our vet or not. Our LC vet was looking into getting these implants but I don't know if she was able to or not. A vet here in Alamogordo is also looking into carrying them as well.

Otherwise the other need is food. We use Totally Ferret Active and Totally Ferret Turkey/Venison/Lamb by Performance Foods. We are also in need of Ferretvite, Ferretone, Ferret Lax.

Favorite toys are ferrets go nuts for are bell balls, light balls and any toy that is on a stick or bungee toys.

Thank you again for all that helped last year and thank you to are our Santas this year.
