I am Joleigh and I am the Grande Dame of this huge community cage of ferrets. Mostly middle-aged or elderly ferrets with slight illnesses like adrenal,and the like. But don't let my size and my baldness fool you, I rule this cage and whatever I say - goes! If I don't approve, they go to the other great big community cage with the youngsters. Those kits and teenagers! This cage is for adults ONLY. Whenever Mom puts a youngster in this cage, I follow them around, sniff them out, and if I no NO!, then I scruff them till they run....young whipper snappers!! All trouble makers,they are!
When I was younger and before I came here, I was a pretty light brown sable girl. Now I wear shirts and sweaters to keep me warm. You can always find me cuddled up under those nice big, soft blankies we have in our cage right next to a nice warm fuzzit....warm bodies in the winter to cuddle with...ah, friendship! A long, long time ago, I came here with my two younger sisters and they left for their new home. I hope they are happy now, I am content. I had to stay cuz of this adrenal. Moms says I do okay with meds. But the doc now says I am sick with this Insulinoma -- makes me dizzy and when I gets too tired to eat, I feel sick and dizzy. So, Mom gives me more meds now, and I gets sugars when I gets real sick...but I will be okay, she says.
