We are a pair of elderly albino boys. We are Izzy and Iccy!
We were rescued by Mom a little over two years ago now from a backyard breeder in a little town in Mississippi. This will be our third Christmas as "real ferrets." We are getting on in age now, pretty much naked now and on meds everyday to keep us feeling good and eating. At our age, oh about 7 or so now, we don't get around much anymore. We pretty much spend our days and nights in a nice warm snuggly bed cuddled together. We are oh soo glad she came and took us away from that sad, sad place. Instead of bare cages with no food or water and suffering out in the cold and hot weather with no love or comforts, we now are up to our old ears in bedding, toys, treats, and lots and lots of food and water....we never run out. Most of all, Mom loves us....she really does. Mom says we are adrenal and have issues with eating. Always have - our tummies have always been irritable. We have never gotten used to the good food and the clean water we get now. It took forever for our poopies to be somewhat normal...oops, is that too personal. Sorry. We don't eat as much as we should, Mom says. Mom is worried about our weight and so we gets this soupie stuff now and she feeds us by hand. We hope it helps too, Mom. We just don't feel eating sometimes. Last week, Mom had to move us to a "sick cage" so we could be monitored better. We miss our bunk mates, though. We old men wish all of you the very best holiday season ever, this our third Christmas! Izzy and Iccy would adore any gift you would send for them. We really hope they will be with us for another Christmas but their health is failing. Izzy is struggling to eat but we will not give up till he is ready for the Bridge, which we hope is not soon. |
